League Appoints Development Program Manager

Nick has been involved in the TAC system for over four years and is the Stingrays’ Senior Assistant/Midfield Coach.  Nick brings with him 17 years coaching experience and a playing career that exceeds 25 years.  He was voted #2 ranked player of the last 25 years and has EFL legend status.  Nick’s experience will be invaluable to the Development Program Coaches.

Nick’s coaching philosophy is to create an honest/professional environment for the development of young aspiring footballers to enter the TAC Cup system and when they leave be at a competent AFL level.  His main emphasis is on developing players to be not only better footballers, but better people.  Nick will bring with him the TAC Cup philosophy which helps players to become better through learning to enhance their natural ability and enhance their abilities through craft and vision; techniques employed in the Stingrays program.

This year South East Juniors will be participating in the AFL Victoria Metropolitan Junior Championships and The AFL South East Region Junior Championships that are played in and around the Queens’ Birthday weekend.

Development Squad try outs will be held on Wednesday 15th March, Friday 17th March and Sunday 19th March, with players receiving invites via email by the end of this week.

 

The development squads for the 2017 season will be U13 x 2, U14 x 2, U15 x 2, U15 Girls x 1, U16 x 1, U17 x 1 and U18 Girls x 1.
